Dr. Mew, are you saying that if someone who has tmj/tmd started being
conscious all the time of keeping good facial posture, that they could cure
themselves without the need of any appliances? Thanks for your time.

would you recommend the myoresearch “TMJ Appliance” to treat and
potentially cure tmj over time?

My mom always told that since i was a little boy i was breathing true my
mouth ?

I have TMJ problems and ive had it for ages. Im not a mouth breather nor do
i rest my mouth open. Ive had a defined jaw line and chin bt lately in the
past two years ive noticed my chin has receeded loads and i dont have as
well defined jaw lines as i used to have. Could this b because of my TMJ
problems? Im not sure if i sleep with my mouth open at night… I dont
think i do. Im 16 and im just not sure why my chin has receeded so much in
my teen years. I also have problems breathing through my nose and have bn
told that i have narrow nasal passage ways

Its very interesting that you mention breathing and airways as a factor. I
was diagnosed with a nasal pollop this January. I got spray for it but it
takes a long time to go away. I continued to get headaches regularly for
months so I was told by my idiot dentist to get my wisdom teeth removed.
All four of them. Now, for the past past 3 months I have been completely
debilitated by what i think is severe TMJ. I have all the typical symptoms
and them some. I know I have terrible posture and the pollop may explain
that posture. I’m going to an orofacial specialist this Tuesday so
hopefully I can finally get some fucking treatment. I will definetly keep
what you said in mind about posture and tongue placement. Also I am shocked
at how ignorant of TMJ issues GPs are.
